featured wedding: jane & johari

Earlier this year we styled a gorgeous winter wedding for Jane and Johari at the Rose & Crown Hotel in Guildford.  With its beautiful dining room featuring exposed brick, ornate chandeliers and a roaring fire, this historic hotel has to be the most perfect winter wedding venue in this city.

Jane and Johari’s day wedding was relaxed but also elegant, and featured lots of little personal touches.  As they both love their tea, Jane put together some gorgeous little favours for their guests which were tiny vials of tea leaves in little canvas bags that said “Let Love Brew”, and their tea station featured pretty vintage cups and many different types of tea.  Their place cards were tied to sprigs of dried lavender which looked lovely and also filled the room with a lovely subtle scent.

There were lots of very clever vendors involved in Jane and Johari’s day.  The ceremony featured furniture from Her Handpicked Harvest which fit in perfectly with the surroundings.  The Butcher, the Baker, the Stylist and Creator created a magical wedding cake.  Fox and Rabbit designed the most amazing floral arrangements in pretty jewel tones to fit in with the season.  Jane wore a custom designed to-die-for dress by Loui Col Designs, and Elicia Rudd and Milla Makeup did the most fabulous job with Jane’s hair and makeup.  And of course CJ Williams Photography captured it all as beautifully as she always does!

It was such a pleasure to be involved in this special day – thank you Jane and Johari!

Jane and Johari’s wedding was also featured on Hello May earlier this month.
