featured wedding: helen & beau

There are some couples you just know are going to last forever.  Helen and Beau are definitely one of those.  In the short time I have known them I have seen enough to know that they have something truly special and once-in-a-lifetime.

It was an absolute delight to work with these two.  They gave so much thought to every element of their wedding but completely put their trust in me to bring it all together.  And it also gave me the opportunity to work at what I think has to be one of the most amazing and unique venues in WA, the Quarry Amphitheatre.

Some of the personal touches added to the styling of Helen and Beau’s special day were gift bags for guests containing beer brewed by the bride and groom, colourful native flowers to tie in with the beautiful natural surrounds, an old-fashioned lolly bar and cake table, and simple vintage touches such as old wire cloches, chalkboard tags, bunting made from burlap and old doilies, and burlap table overlays and cutlery sleeves made by one of their bridesmaids.

As usual there were lots of fabulous local vendors involved in bringing this day together.  The lovely Danicia Dutry helped to create a really touching ceremony, Fox & Rabbit was responsible for the bouquets and floral arrangements, we hired furniture and other pieces from Her Handpicked Harvest and Hire Society, and Kevin of Vintage Wedding Kombis was in charge of ferrying the bridal party around town in his beautiful Kombis.

I was delighted when Helen and Beau decided on one of my very favourite local photographers Carly Williams as I knew that she would capture the day perfectly and in a way that would complement our styling – and she did just that.  Here is the result!

You can also see Helen and Beau’s two part styled engagement session here and here.
