A couple of weeks ago I styled a cake table and boutique beer bar for my Dad’s 60th birthday party. Since Dad is a mad golfer I decided to incorporate this into the styling by using fake grass table runners and cupcakes with “grass” icing on top, coupled with black and white signs, bunting and balloons.
It got me thinking about the use of grass features in weddings. Against the classic black and white I used for Dad’s party the green grass worked really well. You could also pair grass with lots of bright colourful and kitsch details for a quirky look or tone it down with the use of lots of burlap and neutral colours.
